The Al-Alaq Center for Press Services focuses on training and qualifying journalists and media professionals in journalistic writing through the lenses of gender and human rights. It connects them with local community issues and trains grassroots correspondents to amplify the voices of the local community—particularly women. The Center also engages in press archiving and documentation, and produces booklets addressing women’s issues such as political participation and violence against women and girls. Its publications include titles such as Pioneering Women, Journalistic Writing Styles, and Hate Speech in the Sudanese Press: Between Citizen and Official, alongside media studies, research, and press materials that reflect local community issues.
