Radio Al-Banat is a community-based media platform established in Sudan in 2017. Dedicated to women’s and children’s issues, it seeks to empower women and girls through media. The station serves as an independent feminist voice, highlighting the daily challenges women face and raising community awareness regarding women’s rights and gender equality. Radio Al-Banat has partnered with local and international organizations to provide training for female media professionals and to deliver awareness-raising and educational programs via both broadcast and online channels. Although traditional broadcasting ceased following the outbreak of the war, plans are underway to relaunch the station on digital platforms to ensure the continuation of its mission.
