Sudan Media Forum (SMF) is a professional platform that aims to support Sudanese media professionals, both in exile and within Sudan, by providing a collaborative environment for journalistic work, safety measures, and professional growth.
Sudan Media Forum (SMF) is looking for a part time Editorial Manager to lead and supervise commissioned journalists, ensure content quality control, and support the growth of Sudan Media Forum’s editorial networks. This is part of a 2 year project in collaboration with Free Press Unlimited (FPU).
Responsibilities:
- Identify and supervise commissioned journalists.
- Ensure editorial quality control of all published content.
- Work closely with the SMF Coordinator and FPU support staff.
- Supervise and manage the SMF Editor.
- Report to the Board of SMF.
Requirements:
- Fluency in Arabic (written and spoken) and preferably English.
- Relevant degree in journalism, media studies, or a related field.
- Experience in media management and editorial supervision.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Familiarity with Sudanese media and press freedom issues.
